In many ways, as much as having the right product and the right processes, trust is the thing that makes
a business truly successful. That’s what we’re covering at this month’s Lunch & Learn. Trust – what it is, why it matters and how to create it.
Led by Rebecca Maxwell from Asentiv New York, we’ll be exploring the 3 things we should all do to build
trust in every relationship – & the one sure-fire trust killer to avoid at all costs!!
Worryingly, research shows that our trust in each other has worsened over the last 40 years, with over
half of Americans surveyed seeing the levels of loss as substantial.
4 out of 5 people say trust is a critical factor in their buying decisions, but only 3% actually trust the
people selling to them.
And companies with low trust working environments report more stress, lower levels of productivity,
more sick days and significantly less staff engagement.
Without trust, we struggle to keep customers, to attract staff or to build those all-important networks.
Without trust, our business relationships can never be strong enough to weather the storms we face as
entrepreneurs.
Asentiv New York specializes in working with entrepreneurs to develop their skills in building effective
business relationships & strong, profitable networks.
At this month’s Lunch & Learn, our speaker Rebecca Maxwell will share strategies we can put in place to strengthen our relationships and tools we can use every day to build trust quickly and make it last. Expect lots of great information & useful tips, a hands-on & interactive approach – and most of all, fun!
Our Speaker:
Rebecca Maxwell is the co-founder of Asentiv New York, a training, coaching & consultancy
business working with business owners, entrepreneurs and business professionals who want to
build their businesses without sacrificing their lives.
Originally from Scotland, Rebecca moved to New York with her husband Graham in late 2017.
Starting out knowing virtually no-one, together they have grown Asentiv New York using the
same techniques of network and relationship building they work on with clients.
Rebecca has made a priority to work with women in business in New York and has been
curating a women-focused networking & learning leadership community since summer 2018.
Prior to Asentiv New York, Rebecca held senior leadership roles in public services (local
government & health) in the UK, including most recently Deputy Chief Executive of a 4000
employee city council.
With a lifelong interest in understanding what makes people tick, Rebecca is fascinated by why
some relationships work better than others. She has made coaching, mentoring and developing
emerging managers a priority throughout her career, holds a graduate certificate in executive
coaching & mentoring, and is certified to use both the MBTI and DISC methodologies.
Rebecca’s passions include live music, exploring New York, food (cooking & eating!) and
discovering new brands of gin.
She has a ‘love/hate’ relationship with running and is currently trying to recapture the ‘Zen
moments’ it has brought her in the past.
