ABOUT NAWBO NYC

Providing a voice for over 350,000 New York City women-owned businesses.

What started as a small group of women who met in 1975 in Washington D.C. to trade information about federal contracts, bank credit, and other business issues has grown into an organization that provides strength and support to women business owners worldwide.

NAWBO (the National Association of Women Business Owners) has chapters in almost every metropolitan area in the U.S. and in 33 countries worldwide through its affiliation with Les Femmes Chefs d’Enterprises Mondiales (World Association of Women Entrepreneurs).

NAWBO in the Big Apple

Since 1985, NAWBO NYC shares resources, knowledge, and opportunities with women in the New York City metropolitan area to help strengthen their businesses. We also provide a much-needed advocacy voice to help shape economic and public policies that benefit all women business owners.

Dare to dream big and help us achieve more, as our strength comes from you. Without you, the diversity of our membership — women from all backgrounds who run all types of businesses from sole proprietorships to partnerships to corporations and more — NAWBO NYC would not be possible. We have allies who support NAWBO NYC and its members, but we need you too.

We’re Stronger Together
