“NAWBO NYC’s Know Your Elected Officials” podcast is a 1-hour, virtual conversation where NAWBO NYC members get to know their elected representatives – and our elected officials get to know us, too!
Tune in as our electeds share about their personal journeys as well as their thoughts on issues that impact the women-owned business community.
NAWBO NYC members hail from NYC as well as surrounding areas, including New Jersey and Westchester County, NY. Join us this month as we connect with Councilwoman Danielle Browne, City Council of Mount Vernon, NY.
The topic? “Life as a Woman Business Owner and Public Servant”.
Danielle Browne, Esq. is a New York licensed attorney and founder of The Browne Firm. She is passionate about entrepreneurship and helping people build and sustain generational wealth.
As a business owner and a former WNBA team executive, she understands the legal, business, and financial challenges that businesses of any size or experience level face.
In November 2021, Danielle was elected to the Mount Vernon City Council (New York) where she currently serves as Chair of the Committee on Legislation & Public Works. A former college basketball star and self-proclaimed “social rebel”, Danielle will share her journey from private citizen to public office.
We’d like to acknowledge our partners – Dare to Run – an organization founded by NAWBO NYC member Rachelle Suissa. Dare to Run enables women to obtain the skills they need, cultivate a network of learning and support among their female peers, and participate in internships and mentorships to solidify their journey to public office.
